God uses me to stimulate your mind
To motivate mankind - I think deep
And present thoughts in a form you can keep
Because the food I give you to eat is sensible
With the hope you can cling to at least one principle
Those things many find reprehensible - like profanity
It never finds a way into my poetry
It's my signature so you know it's me
I am shining light, with all my might, to be used for right
Though some of the subjects that I touch on
May make a few timid souls uptight
I stay away from being complex - form simplistic sentences use
Fragments - anything to connect and wreck any negativity on site, leading the way for new heights to be reached
I entertain and teach (though I'm not an ordained minister)
Sometimes I even preach. Whatever it takes to reach
The general public - I do my best to touch on many subjects
I don't care if you're around the corner or down the block
The words I serve - I know you're feeling them - any aches and pains in the brain
I know I am healing them - I'll take you higher than a balloon filled with helium
The spoken word is my medium -exposure is a premium
Fluorescent thoughts coming from my cranium
Exercise your imagination better than a body work out in a gymnasium
With this style - I'll affect your equilibrium with idioms - designed to take you to and through the next
Millenium - Because God uses me - as a tool you see - To accentuate what the Spirit can do
with poetry!
