Throughout my lifetime
I'm going to let my light shine
Powerfully penetrating the darkness within and without
When I let my divine light shine
I'm generating good thoughts coming from far reaching faculties
Blessed to uplift spirits that supply many peoples needs
Are you ready to exhale?
I will supply fresh air for you to breath
Showing you by example what believe in God achieves
When I let my life shine by letting my light shine -
SHINE LIGHT!
Put darkness on the run; I've just begun to set the captives free
Delivering those in bondage from a life of negativity
Making those chosen aware that the key lies inside
To unfurl their true destiny
So I let my light shine by letting my life shine -
SHINE LIGHT!
Let my lungs blow like the four winds on the earth
Set me in motion Lord to be a mighty hurricane
Spreading the gospel of rebirth - to alleviate pain and hurt
From those downtrodden and abused, I come in the name of Jesus to untangle the confused
Bringing the gospel of Good News
So I choose to let my divine light shine, so
SHINE LIGHT!
Let me shake rooms like earthquakes and break barriers of hate
Order my steps Lord, correct my mistakes
Remove from my presence any snakes or fakes
I turn them over to you Lord
You bore the cross to take the weight
So I can take my light and let it shine bright
To let my light shine
SHINE LIGHT!
Thank you God for your mercy and grace
And strength to run this grueling race
You've given me enough power and energy to light up any place
Telling the world that you sacrificed your son for us
Teling them that with Jesus life is victorious
Father God, You are so marvelous,
So glorious
And I thank you for letting my light shine bright, so
SHINE LIGHT!
