I was engaged in a conversation the other day and it went this way…She said,
" This is what I tell men…let me tell you who I am to see if you still want to talk to me
I need direct stimulation mentally, I need a man who can talk sensibly
A man who knows what he's saying without saying ,
" You know what I'm saying?"…(just trippin' yall, I'm just playin'!)
Seriously, I do not need a man who loses his temper and goes ballistic
I'm not interested in you or me becoming a violent crime statistic
This single life of casual sex, I'd risk it all for a man whose true and
In touch enough with his emotions that he can say I love you
Mr. Poet, I'm looking for a man who can pay his rent
Not to mention one who can hold on to his check
I need a man who can hold a decent conversation without mentioning sex
Who can be sensual with just a look, who occasionally reads a good book
But regularly reads The Good Book entitled the Bible so we can be refreshed and connect
I want a male-female relationship where pleasing God is our reality
Where there is a concern for immortality, where we're both shunning immoralities
The brother doesn't even have to have a six figure salary! I need a man not
Infected by the lie virus, those men are as common as a cold
You want to trick me to stick me but that tactic has gotten old
There are so many men out there pretending but I now have no reservations
Bringing relationships to swift endings so when you step to me check the
Message that you are sending
I'm not interested in a man who feels a woman can't get too vocal
And I definitely don't want a man who's too boastful, too vain or too local
It's a big world out there, I'm looking for a man whose dreams I can share
And also cares for my dreams too, not to mention he has to be an excellent lover
So Mr. Poet…what do I do?"…
And I said, " First keep your legs shut! Don't be pressured to give it up
To get what you want you don't have to advertise thighs ,breast and butt
Can't you attract without provoking lust?…stop broadcasting so much
You may reveal because you need to feel good about yourself (for your mental health)
But then don't get disgusted at the comments men make
Because a designer participates in manipulating eventual results you hate
Why even subject yourself to sharks when you have a bleeding heart?
Get over any old relationship first, there is nothing worse than getting into a new
Relationship without healing, clouded judgement deadens feelings
Perpetrating ,so-called men prey on mixed up emotions so I'm revealing something that
I think you need to hear-let God be the first man in your life, he'll guide you right
And take you to new heights even after the hurt and loneliness disappears
Ask him for the man you are suppose to have then wait…stay occupied, keep a lot on
Your plate, take your time when you date…
check to see what's in your presence
Maturity or adolescence…The Holy Spirit will investigate his essence
Stop giving it up so easily, hold on to your precious jewels, within you is the potential
To carry priceless lives which need a father not a fool…You asked me my advice
